The Jennens have been in Wabash for 15 years this year. Our family farm has grown every year, but most recently we have added a 3 million gallon pond on the west side of our home to irrigate our vegetables every summer. In 2007 we added 3.2 acres of High Tunnels to the east side of our property. These tunnels allow for a longer and more sustainable growing season by moderating temperature, wind and water. We irrigate regularly from the pond, and close the doors and sidewalls on cool nights. This last venture has really got us excited about the future of agriculture as it really focuses on conservation of water and the harnessing of the sun's heat to effectively grow local fruits and vegetables- making it environmentally friendly.

All our produce is grown right at our farm inside our recently added 3.5 acre High Tunnel growing system that allows early and extended season harvesting. This method of cultivation uses far less herbicides and pesticides. We farm over 700 acres in total - specializing in fresh vegetables so our farm is not small. We grow 55 acres processing peppers and 50 acres of processing tomatoes. Buy Fresh - Buy Local!!
